We at The Gathering Place are a family that exists to love the hurting and broken by making disciples as Jesus did.

Pastor Rob and Kathryn McKeown, are the founding pastors of Silverton Foursquare Church. A band of intrepid adventurers left the comfort of their home churches to join with the McKeown's in planting a new church in 2003. With some 60 people representing 5 churches (Canby, Molalla, New Hope - Salem, Stayton, and Woodburn Foursquare) we opened our doors in a tiny rented facility called the "Gathering Place." We soon outgrew this facility and through the miracle working grace of our Lord, were able to purchase a 12,000+ square foot campus a block away. Pastor Rob has over 20 years experience in the ministry, but the lion's share of that time was spent as a youth pastor. Our pastor brings a mature, yet youthful message to the pulpit. He is comfortable teaching Greek as well as using the best of Hollywood to make a point. You could break unleavened bread using a tortilla or a loaf of sourdough bread. You may listen to teachings that are punctuated with movie clips.  No matter the tools, everything points to following in Jesus's footsteps.
